It is all good :hihi: ...you know how mankind can be morbid...heck, the reason why most of us go to the races is NOT to watch a bunch of cars going in a circle (we can see that on the LA freeways)...we go for the crashes. Heck, historically speaking, why do you think the gladiators we so popular?...the gore. Why do you think traffic comes to a halt near an auto accident? It is not for the safety of the officers...but to see the mess, hence the "rubber neckers".

Besides, I may need some proof that you are actually dead in order for me to take possesion of your car, even with a will....lol

I agree with the human attraction to morbidness, but not with the going to the races part, I don't know any race fans who want to sit through cautions.

Do you really need that much power anyway?

Isn't a supercharger mainly a big air pump? why do they cost so freaking much?

You guys must have had a lot of Michigan roads in your way
You know the history of Willow Run airport right? I am just a few miles from there.
Shoot, there I go off topic again.

Roots based, superchargers are very difficult to manufacture because they pump air at high pressure, rather than just moving it from one place to another, like a fan. They have oddly shaped rotors that fit together almost perfectly. Tiny gaps will leak air lowering efficiency and once they start to leak, the air will actually wear out the rotor making it leak more.

If you see a twin-screw, supercharger screw set-up, it is a precision ground, three lobed "helical rotor" with little metal gaskets on the tips of each lobe. The three lobed rotor thingy is twisted like a pair of screws that fit together. It's bizarre to watch.

Here you go...
Howstuffworks "Roots Superchargers"

All three types.

2006 Black, GT, spoiler delete, five speed, leather, custom welded straight pipes with resonators, sequential turn signals, Hurst Pro Performance shifter. FRPP 4.10s with Motive bearing kit, Spydershaft one piece aluminum driveshaft, w/ Spicer 1330 U-joints, Steeda UCA and LCAs, chrome moly panhard rod. bye bye wheel hop, hello traction! SCT XCalII, BBK CAI, ZEX 100 shot.
I've written a book or two. Google David Buschhorn to laugh at my scribblings.

Thanks, I started reading that page and couldn't stop. The internet is like a dictionary, for me. I go to look something up and see something else, that's interesting. Pretty soon, half the day is gone.

I think Thomas Jefferson said "I think heaven will be like a kind of library."

Poor guy was hooked, even before the internet.
