2007 Mustang GT auto shift points

Hi,
I just joined this forum and I think it's great keep up the great work guys.
anyway I've just got my diablosport predator tunner (u7145) and I already have k&n air charger kit. the tunner works great but i was wondering if any one has played with shift points, they are currently at 5983 rpm. what do u think the best shift points would be for best acceleration / 1/4 time?

What does this mean? I'm pretty sure I've seen it on my SCT tuner, but was scared to play with it.

It is the rpm at which the trans will shift at WOT. I've actually been thinking about raising mine to 6400-6500... the car is still pulling hard and making power there.

can you change what point that the tranny shifts under normal acceleration? not just WOT?

I have spent a lot of time with mine and found that the times are best shifting around 6100.
I also had Brenspeed change the low shift points to keep the revs up during normal driving. Go easy with the pressure, you might end up with loose parts later on.

While we are on the subject has anyone seen a optional shifter? I am sick of the plastic I dont know where I am shifter.

Too many car's, not enough time.

So I should set the shifting points to 6100 rpm for all gears? I mean 1-2, 2-3, 3-4

don_w I think your car have alot of tunes thats why it would handle it ok at 6250 but mine is still almost stock and I'm afraid I might mess something up at such high rpm.
thnx for the response any more suggestion will be helpful

I had Doug set my shiftpoints at 6250 when I first got a tune from him 2 years ago. All I had on the car at the time was a CAI and gears.

This doesnt deal with the shift points, but im really curious.. What happened was my friend bs's alot, and he said his Xcal2 has a part where you can program the 2-step rev limiter, and remove top speed limit on his.. is that true?? I read that the 2-step rev limiter was only for the years 04 and down..? and never heard anything about the top speed limiter.. he said hes gone well over 150mph.. n i wanted 2 know is that even possible..

Not that im dumb enough to do that or anything, but wanted to know if he actually has that 2step rev limiter and no topspeed limit..

Not sure about the 2-step, but the speed limiter can be disabled.

I'm not sure what do u mean by the 2-step rev limiter but in the diablosport predator you have three types of rev limits that you can control, and yes you can disable the speed limiter
