Metra offers a harness for it. Part number is 70-5512. It is marked as Ford 03-up Amp Harness. It comes with two harnesses, the main one and a second smaller one for the subs.

2005 GT Premium, torch red, all available factory options.
Performance mods: Lets just say it's not stock.

Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing. But they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

This IntelliTXT stuff sucks.

do you have the wiring harness adapter to "plug and play" or are you looking to splice into the stock harness straight from the new HU?

hope you got everything. once you get all your pieces, the install is pretty easy. 8 or 10 screws, snap off two trim pieces, unplug the stock radio plug in the new one and your set.

i was taking my time and i think maybe 2 hours of putzing around. that was take apart and put back together.

you can also try the scosche gear, they make a wiring harness specifically for "Ford premium audio" which includes Shaker500. There are two pieces to the harness - basically the speaker level outputs from your new front end will feed the speakers, and the line level RCA outputs will feed the two factory amps for the front subs. They also make dash kit - you can choose single DIN with storage tray or a double DIN kit if you go for a double DIN receiver.

The wiring harness part ref is FDK11B
The single DIN dash kit is FD1445B
The double DIN dash kit is FD1426B

You can find these items on eBay, or just do a general google search.

I can't remember whether the front door speakers are powered by external factory amps or if it is only the 8" door subs. If its the latter, then you might look for a head unit that has the ability to control the level of the line out (the RCA outputs which will feed the subs) independant of the speaker level outputs. This way you will be able to get the balance right between the speakers and the subs.

Stern ST-1 Beast 20" x 8.5" & 9.5" staggered wheels in Hyperblack with Nitto 555s, 255/35 & 275/35. 12" Phat antenna.

For any wiring diagrams, etc that are car related, go to www.the12volt.com. They have wiring diagrams for pretty much every car, and they're easy to find. Thats if you want to go about clipping wires and such to install without a harness.

Me? I just said f--- it and bought a harness.
