2006 gt to 2012 gt

Hi all

I had a 2006 gt vert a few yrs back. For fun listed it for sale at a high price not thinking it would sell. To my surprise it sold for my asking price in 2 days. I paid 14000 for it. Cleaned it up drove it for one summer and sold for 16500. It was a sad day when it went. This was a great car. Now I have a 2012 gt vert and love it just as much. But I must say 05 to 10 models are great cars. The 4.6 is bullet proof.

You're a born car salesman. I don't know if you should take that as a compliment or not. Haha.
Congrats on the sale and the new ride.

Lightning doesn't strike twice in the same spot they say. Try to list this one for $2K over what you paid and see if you can do it again.

Very nice indeed. I know exactly what you mean. My first and second cars were real fixers, but then again I was a broke young teen. My second car though was a Camaro so I was happy to have it since I got it my final year of high school. It was a mess inside and out but after I cleaned it up and painted it, it was fun to drive for many years. Kinda wish I still had it some times. But my current one is much nicer.

You're almost correct. It was a 79, 305 2 barrel carbureted v8. (We don't need no stinking ECM computers!) It was a a great car because it didn't have any of the emissions crap on it. No AC, No power windows or locks, no cruise control, only power brakes and steering. Simplicity at its best.
