so im new and need help 06 v6 4.0
so im stupid I was leaving my friends driveway and apparently turn to sharp and bottom out my 2006 v6 4.0 stang well I before I got it on the main road I got out and looked underneath to see if I did any damage and I didn't see anything not even dripping got back in and drove to where I need to go getting on hwy then interstate well 17miles maybe 20 I turn down my radio and hearing a weird noise checked my dash normal then started loose power tried stepping on gas and it just wouldn't I pulled over emergency lane and I saw steam or what I believed well I checked my overflow and poured water in (empty) well it started leak some from underneath I apparently cracked the side of my radiator ok called someone and installed it on side road (that was scary people don't slow down anymore 65 in slow lane 18wheelers zipping by ) got it in filled it with fluid now this issue would try and crank but wouldn't turn over just kinda like crunching noise called rollback and as it rolling up ramp oil leaking out not sure if just busted the oil pan since car is at friend yard since closer cost little less. any ideas it was about due for timing chains to be replace??? I know kinda hard not seeing it but any help appreciated ..
Known fact: you damaged the radiator. Beyond that you might have damaged the engine by overheating (cooked crank seals, etc.). If the pan was broken enough to loose oil, you could have wiped out the rod and main bearings. Have your friend check the oil level on the dipstick. If it overheated or ran low on oil, you should have gotten an indication of a problem on your dash.
ok so he got it started but runs really bad and it squirting gas apparently off the side wall almost went up.(I think I have parts of orginal engine besides part on fire wall well its already had engine swap since original timing chain glide busted and it had 200k on it we pulled it out so now it has roughly 240k on the trans and is it worth changing out the engine again with another used engine or try repair if problem can be found and delt with or should I just part it out??? it has been damaged in front and been repaired best it could at time new fender and strut its also paid for so it ran good before my stupid mishap ???
