With 89 you options are a little more limited. I know you can get all 3 types for the 93. I suggest getting a 93 torque, a 93 race, and an 89 performance.

Only thing is, once you go 93, you'll never go back!

i just ordered a jlt cai and sctx3 with tuens from tillman speed. 87 and 89 oct`s are considered regular grades, a tune will work for either of those, then there is 91 and 93. i didnt have 93 around here so i went with 87-89 performance, 91 performance and 91 race

Not trying to hijack but how different is 91 Race vs 93 Race tune from Bama?? We have 94 Chevron here but i got the 91 Race.

To the thread starter, i would go highest level octane you have on your area but get a 87 performance for a daily driver and 91 or 93 Race for racing.

The 93 race is the best thing invented since the wheel. Its just plain awesome. The only difference between the 93/91 is a little bit of a power change. 93 gets more torque then 91, but 93 isn't available in most places. Get one 87 performance tune just so when going on long trips or when gas prices hit $4 again. Then get two tunes from the highest octane available in your area. Race-awesome all the way around torque- more power under 3500 rpm performance- less power low end more hp above 3500

I second that. Doug is a magician.

I went with 93 Race, 93 Torque (which is really nice too but a lot mellower than 93 Race) and 87 Performance for when gas goes back up to $4 a gallon

I third that Doug has the best customer service I have ever experienced anywhere and his 93 Race tune is killer.
