SCT SF3 Tuner Stolen

Well, my SCT device got stolen down in South Padre. I didn't realize it until today. I left my windows down when I went into store at the gas station to get gum and then poof it's gone. Gotta call South Padre Police today.

LITTLE DO THE THIEVES KNOW.... You CAN'T use my SCT unless you unlock it, which you will need my ECU code. so nice job idiots... Enjoy your paper weight

on the other hand I have to pay $380 for a new one

i am sure somebody can hack those.... i mean if they could hack an iphone which has far better security, am sure somebody has figured out how to do so... i freaking hate these thieves, no respect for anyone but leaving you windows down makes it your fault...

i hope you find them or maybe someone saw them

Yeah but I think they were looking for my iPod and not my SCT, the AUX cable was hanging out of the console and to they thot they would find something. But they found an SCT instead.
It was at a gas station which has TONS of cameras so I will hopefully find out who took it.

Yeah it is my fault but I didn't think 1 min in broad daylight would b a problem.

Let SCT know what the S/N is. If they get a request to unlock it, they're busted!

Like Mark said when they call SCT, to request it to be unlocked they're busted. You might want to keep an eye open on eBay, because they might try to sell it locked cheap for around $100.00. They can't use it because it's locked to your car, and most likely they'll try to sell it locked when they find out what the fee is to have it unlocked by SCT. The going fee to unlock the tuner is $150.00, and SCT is the only one who can unlock it. I myself being a Dealer can't unlock it, the only way that I can unlock it is from one car to another, Mike. SCT Tuner. P.S. Don't worry, it will pop up sooner or later. Just make sure you put a call into SCT, and report it stolen so they will keep their eyes open for it, Mike.

70 BOSS,with a 71 429 SCJ 8.0:1 compression with an F-3 Pro Charger and 39lbs. of boost. Rectangular Tube Chassis, Custom 17" Magnum 500 Wheels. Just way too much to list, but what a ride. P.S. Hang on tight!!!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but it might be more than just the tuner.... Unless you backed up your original cars tune to your PC that too is now gone since it was on the SF3. May cause some issues if you need to go in for any warranty work. Might want to also ask SCT how their tuner is going to act if you get a brand new one and try to use it on your car which is already running an SCT tune from another device.

SCT can put a factory tune on the device for you if necessary.

My tuner crashed and they redid the whole thing for me through remote, including reloading a stock tune to the device.

It will be fine. A new tuner will think that the tune in the car is the stock one and act accordingly. I have made several posts on other forums about my experience with using two tuners. But the stock tune is gone unless you copied it to your pc. A dealer can reload a current stock tune for you car if you take it in to them.

Dealer will likely charge to restore your stock tune.

SCT put a stock tune back in my X3 for no charge.
