bbk, welcome to our forums . i agree, ive seen a couple companys this week pop on. i like seeing that myself, and offering up info is always nice. i`m running out of bolt on options, so a tb is coming up soon, and i`ll make my own assessment.

sure its nice to only post on actual issues we have tried ourselves, and i try to mostly stay with that, but common sense and personal opinions are always welcome too be it good or bad. i read everything and make my own choices anyway, as everyone should. a good example is every review on my tires were bad, i bought them anyway and i`m very happy with them and will buy them again too.

i do have a question though for bbk or anyone, will my elbow on the jlt fit over the tb just fine? thanks addit note: it would be nice to see a install vid for a 4.0, as we really dont care much about the 4.6 in this tech forum. guessing its about the same or is it? maybe thats why guys are having problems too? theres a good V6 market on here to tap in to, and that would really help.

Wow,
Got a lot of response to this question..
I have been running the BBK throttle body for over a year now and probably going to take it off. By DYNO I am getting no more HP or TQ than any other CAI/Tune 4.0 without it. Lots of issues with install and adjustment, had to disconnect the cruise control just to get the car running.
As somebody posted the best thing about it is, "it looks cool" put your money into the exhaust side....

Pretty much the "hearsay" I've come across from at least a dozen purchasers since the part hit the streets. Minimal to zero gain and problems seems to be far more prevalent than "Gee, I can't believe how great it works". I agree, it does look much better than the factory TB.

As far as "hearsay", this isn't a court of law, and nobody is on trial. I personally DO appreciate word of mouth on products, etc. Saves me from going to movies all the time that aren't worth the $ and 2 hours in the theater for instance.

I don't have a v6, have the old pushrod 5.0, but I do have experience with BBK throttle bodies. Had the throttle plate shaft break in half on my 70mm at the lower throttle plate screw. Caused symptoms like a huge vacuum leak and the screw flew into my intake. I immediately backed off the gas when it started running funny, idled home, and was lucky the screw stuck in some old pcv deposits in the back of my intake plenum. Came really close to ruining a (brand new) head and piston. The throttle body was five years old, but there are twenty year old original ford throttle bodies for 5.0's that don't break in half and potentially lunch your motor. Consider yourself warned.
