Question Cams on a 2006 Mustang V6?

Is it even possible and would it sound good? I am interested in doing this. I asked my friend which has been working on cars for his whole life and he told me that because its a V6 it will sound kinda like a boat if I install cams. I know its only a V6, but I am going to have this car for a long time and I want to make it louder. So positive feedback would be appreciated.

if you want to make it louder cams will do this but for a example look at youtube ive seen a few on there. If you havent done exhaust already go ahead an do that there are so many different mufflers that will give you a different louder sound

I'm taking your question as to "intall better performance cams". I'm not sure if it will make your car louder, but it will sure hand more force from a power adder. Like many of, you... us.. have to face it.... ITS A V6. no matter what we do to it, etc it will NEVER sound like a V8. But i have heard some sound pretty good. When I used to have the Pypes muffler on my car, some thought I had a V8. I would say focus on having better parts and more HP than trying to make it sound like something. Who cares if your car sounds like a SuperSnake if you can't take off the line like one.
