The Mystery Pony

Hi folks,

This weekend I saw a silver V6 Pony Package Mustang that had two big dark grey racing stripes down the middle, rather than the typical side tape stripes with the "Mustang" lettering.

It looked SHARP! It appeared to be a factory paint job, but I've never seen a V6 Pony Package car that looked like this.

Anybody have info on this option???

there's one at our office that has that. and mine is not a pony package but has the lemans stripes.

it's a factory option to do over the top stripes instead of side stripes.

Maybe it wasn't factory at all and a custom job but he or she didn't like the rocker stripes so they had them removed. just a thought. When it comes to mustangs here in North Texas i have seen about everything. Most of them are stock but still some with some nice mods.

Almost any combination of Le Mans stripes were/are available from the factory. They are either special ordered or produced by the factory on spec.

The only factory option on my 08 is over the top stripes. The window sticker states a V6 blackout package but I have never been able to find out what that is.

2008 V6 Deluxe manual
Grabber Orange with just one option, over the top stripes.

Thanks you guys.

What a great-looking option!

I think the Pony Package V6s are the best-looking Mustangs out there.
