70MM BBK Throttle Body Input Here(Reply ASAP Plz)
I have done a lil research on the forum and off, but can't seem to figure out if the minor probs were fixed. I was talking to "Jerry" aka the guy that P&Ps throttle bodies, but he will not be back until the 1st of Oct. I found a person selling a 70MM BBK Power-Plus Throttle Body for $125. Person calms to be hard on money...reason for selling. Said person claims it to be less than a month old. They had it installed for about a week or two...Claimed no engine lights activated, ect. They have sent me a pic and it looks pretty clean.
I was wondering what everyone else thought, before going through with this.
What kind of gain would I be looking @ w/ F/I and also just had some M2 shorty headers installed.
Plz reply asap, would like to give this person an answer in the next day or so. Thanks all for everything.

I can't give you any numbers as far as F/I. But I can tell you that no problems with the throttle body itself have come up yet. Going on close to two years with the BBK. I've had good luck with it.

I havn't supercharged anything yet but from what I understand from reading about this over and over for more years than I care to count now, your supercharger NEEDS it. Are you still running the stock T-body?
If you were still running it NA, I'd say don't bother with a Tbody. You'd be throwing money away.
I have a 70mm Granetelli that cost over $500. It's a nice unit and they claimed 11HP increase on non-modded engines. Turned out to cost me HP that had to be retuned on a dyno to get back and to clear a CEL.
Works good now and I have it for when I supercharge

I have one from Jerry - no problems at all with installation since it is the stock throttle body.
But I didn't get a good opportunity yet to test it compared to a stock throttle body at the track. Next time I go I will be using the Jerry Stranigan for the first pass, then I'll swap to the stock and let the car cool down for another pass and see if there is any difference.
