advice on radar detecter

well, got my stang' yesterday, and am in the market for a new radar, my old one was about 4 years old so i just tossed it, any advice on a good one? i was looking at a cobra but haven't been researching them too long, thanks!

A few threads have already answered this question. Valentine among others being suggested. The thread got pretty involved and there was some sidetracking but if you read it than I think your question will be answered. Search on radar detectors and you should find it.

I heard Valantine was the best but I couldnt see myself spending $400 on one. I have the
Escort 8500 for around 300 and its worked fine for me.

I couldn't see that either, then I tried a Valentine.

If you want the best radar/ laser protection on the market you should try this setup. A Valentine one Radar and more importantly A BLINDER M40 for the car is the best system out there! I've been pulled over by a cop trying to clock me at 110 and he let me go because my blinder m40 blocked his laser gun and he couldn't do anything about it. Trust me its the best system out there.,
