5th Gen tail lights in 07

So the wife has told me the first thing she wants in her mustang is the sequential tail lights and she also mentioned some aftermarket tail lights. I was looking around and saw Raxiom tail lights designed to look like the 5th gen tail lights that include sequential kit.

Here is a link:
Raxiom Mustang Gen 5 Style Tail Lights 49169 (05-09 All) - Free Shipping

Is anybody familiar with this? Never heard of the brand (I've always been an import guy) and I didn't know how good they were.

Does anybody know any other good brands?

Raxiom makes good stuff. If you like the look of them you wont be disappointed. Personally im not a fan of the look of them compared to stock or some of raxioms other tail lights. But to each his own.

Raxiom's products are great. I have their "Coyote" style taillamps on my 2005.

1966 Mustang Sprint 200 "Oliver"... factory fog lamps, factory rally pac, off the road for restoration.

2005 Mustang 4.0 litre... Airaid CAI, Honeycomb taillamp panel, more mods to follow.

I'm a real fan of the sequential lights, though I haven't done it yet. Having said that, you need to do what pleases you most. I'm not a real fan of the Raxiom sequentials simply because I don't like the halo effect. There are cheaper alternatives, but if you like the halo effect, go for it.

Bitter, I think it depends. Like I said, I have Raxiom's "Coyote" taillights which are styled after the 2010-2011 taillamps and sequential lights and I love 'em.

I've seen both kits, the 2010 style, and the new 2013 style.
I am a bit biased as I hated the rear end of the 2010+

But do what is good for you.
Personally, the actual sequential kit and taillight trim add a lot to your rear end, and are much cheaper than actual housings.

This thread prompted me to order some Raxiom sequentials from AM. I agree that the Coyotes are nice but I ordered ones that kept the original '06 lenses. It's all a matter of personal taste. I bought my S197 in 2010. I could have bought new, but I liked the styling of the '05 to '07's. Having owned a '67 and a '71 (and currently rebuilding a '68), I thought the front and rear were holding true to the vintage lines. I'm not saying the newer models aren't nice. It's always comes down to what pleases you most and I hope that expressing my preference doesn't dissuade anyone from their choice. In the end, all S197's are a thing of beauty.

Bitter, while I have the Coyote lights, I do agree with you that the lines of my 2005 Mustang remind me more of my 1966 than the 2010 does.

Here are mine on my 05 convertible. I had the black trim around the OEM lights and a sequential light harness, but really liked the 5th gen Raxiom set up better. The lenses are smoked, and that helps blend the lights into the black body. The OEM's are safely stored in case I want to swap out in the future. Not a cheap mod, but I'm the only one in the are so far that has 'em!

It's the car we've always wanted and can now afford, it's NOT a mid-life crisis!!

These Tail lights are so sweet looking!
I really would like to get them for my 07 GT, but I'm planning on taking my stang back to Germany, where these lights are not approved / legal ...
