Question 2008 V6 single GT/GT500 muffler question

Hey guys. I just bought a single passenger side muffler off ebay. The old muffler looked rusted out and sounded pretty wimpy. The muffler I bought said it was a GT/GT500 take off muffler but I can't tell which one and if it was a manual or automatic. Under the Ford logo it says "F1-8006". I tried googling it and came up with nothing. It's practically new and sounds great. I'd just like to know what car it came from. Thanks in advance!

Up until the 2010 model year the GT500 used the same mufflers as the GT with an automatic. There wasn't anything special about the GT500 mufflers.

I can't recall the part number now to say which is the automatic and which is the manual muffler.

Thank you for the info. Is there a website with Ford's part numbers or a catalog?

Will a 2014 GT axle back muffler take off fit a 2005 V6 without any welding?

No, the mounting system is different and the 3 hangers are in different spots from the 2005, in addition to there being an extra one. So you have to take off the hangers and weld a new pair in the correct location.
