Ready to buy a 2006 Mustang Convertible...good deal?

2006 Mustang Convertible V6

Here's what I know;

-1 owner older doctor

-long list of service always performed at Ford dealer

-no accidents

-test drive was tight

-no swirl marks on paint as owner said always hand washed

-not a spec of rust on body or underneath

-top is in great condition and opens/closes tight

Any input good or bad is welcome!

I had a 2006 and put 203,000 miles on it before I sold it. If it is maintained, as this one sounds, the 4.0 will last a long time. (mine went through 2 seasons of a 75 shot of nitrous, and at 90,000 miles I pulled the nitrous and installed the Xcharger so it didn't see an easy life!).

The top was still in good condition after all those miles and lots of winter driving as well.

The KB value of the car in that area is 11,600
If he is a doctor it probally will be hard to work down seeing that they have money. I would personally go 10,500 cash for it. that's just because its not a gt and I would not pay more they 10,500 for a v6.

Nice pony, stock premium package. Asking price is just a tad high, if you can get it down a thousand, take it..

2006

I have a 06 Silver Vert w/ red interior. Bought last year with 29,000 miles on odometer. Lady owner drove it 4 -5 months per year and garaged always. No issues so far, great ride. I paid $1K over KBB and am happy to have paid up a little for such a nice car

I had an 01 Coupe but damn mustangs are pretty solid. I've seen my sister's 2008 BMW and Aunt's 2009 BMW have way more issues than the mustang, but had to sell it! But yeah it's all about taking care of the car; women ... jk.

I liked 10,000 times a coupe than a convertible look but thats just me, plus, coupe is better if youre going to to some power mods, the convertible its a little bit heavier, but if you like the convertible experience, go for it. In my opinion, its a little overated, having a blast with the roof down, going to the beach! Etc etc

It is all a matter of taste to me, personally I love the convertible over the coupe, they both have good and bad points depending on who you talk to. The price of a car varies from region to region, and IMHO you are going to be paying for it so if you think its worth it then buy it and enjoy itn for years to come.
