07 Mustang Rear Right Axle Shaft

Hi All,

I have 07 4.0L V6 mustang. Rear passenger side of axle of my mustang has bent and I need to replace it. I checked with Ford parts and one local shop, they have axle which is $350+. I also looked at some other sites where some axles are around $150+. I am not sure whether I should get it from Ford or these less expensive options are also of good quality. If anyone has replaced rear right axle shaft or have any idea where i can get quality part at low price. Please advice.

Thanks!!

Randy's Ring & Pinion has good replacement axles at good prices. There is a salvage yard close to me that has several of these cars in it and I've been getting parts from them. You might try looking around for a salvage yard and get a used one.

^Agreed. some on here have even picked up a GT rear axle for $100. Keep a lookout, and try to find something with lower miles

Make sure it is just the axle that is bent and not the whole rear end. Pretty common to bend the whole thing.

Can you see that it is bent or is someone telling you it is? If a curb was hit hard or it was in an accident, yet it can easily get bent.

I'd recommend trying to find a complete replacement rear end, and even as suggested, one from a GT.

This smart man is telling you what you should hear. Don't waste money on the 7.5 rearend. Find yourself a 8.8 rearend from a GT and swap it out. Putting money in the 7.5 rear end is like eating at Taco Bell. You're buying beef, but you're only getting 30% beef.
