what does reflashing a computer mean

hey I'm just wondering what is a computer reflash and when would a repair shop need to do one. the guy that dyno tuned my car told me not to let anyone reflash my cars computer.

Basically, it means to re-program the software which is what your dyno guy just did....

so if my computer ever needs to be reflashed can I just put the stock tune back on and then load the custom tune back on or do I need to get a whole new dyno tune. im not in the situation where I need it reflashed I'm just wondering for future reference.

Yes...if you have a copy of the the "Dyno Tune"
