Unhappy 2005 mustang v-6

i have a v-6 mustang and the pcm overheats and the car dies leaving me stranded ! sit for an hour and starts right up like it never happened after driving on the highway in spring or summer but in fall and winter no trouble ! its a convertible & i would like to be able to drive more than 25 miles before car shuts down ! ford dealership said it was probably grounds so they cleaned & said should be fixed , but i drove 20 miles in 73 degree temps & it died again !! ford says return it to us in the spring or summer & will try again to diagnose it ( of course more money ) this is ridiculous that ford can,t fix a FORD !! help , anybody familiar wth this problem ? last year a new pcm was installed & i drove to maine & back to michigan with no problems ( & yes it was warm ) but shortly after coming home now the new one is doing the same thing !!!!!!! help !!!!!
