Whiteline suspension installed -Review

Two weeks ago I posted that the waiting was the hardest part regarding my order of a complete Whiteline set up from AM - they got my order sent very quickly but I only got it installed yesterday and today.
First off here is what I installed:
Whitelne springs, rear adjustable upper, non adjustable rear lowers, track brackets and adj pan hard rod, eibach camber bolts.
Install went very well, everything fit properly, hardware was first class, fasteners too.
Took it straight to alignment shop, they specialize in hot rods and race cars, they were impressed, had them use Boss302 specs.
Driving: it s nicely lowered, at 70 mph a wiggle of the wheel makes the car go left and right, no lean, no hesitation. It puts the power down very well, hop is gone and even when you get it sideways under throttle it is entirely predictable and easy to gather up. Forward bite is impressive, the float at speed is gone, the Bob and weave from braking to throttle is gone, it squats a bit initially but that's it- under heavy braking there is no dive.
I am impressed.
Now the bad news - there is noticeable whine from the diff I assume transferred through the stiffer bushings. The only other issue is that now it is so competent it really needs better tires and another 100 hp.

Thank you AM and thank you Whiteline

Scott

And those better tires will call out for better brakes . . . and probably need wider wheels as well.

No matter how comprehensive initial mods are, they still seem to find ways of compounding themselves.

Very exciting. Glad it went together well for you.

Definitely a bit of noise transmitted through those urethane bushings. Just getting you ready for the inevitable supercharger whine that is coming one day ahead.

If it seems a bit much, perhaps your pinion angle could use a bit of adjustment with your upper control arm to see if this can reduce the noise?

Enjoy....I know I go the long way every day on my daily route just because there are two extra really good curves that allow me to feel alive and happy.

All the best.

I'm at the cottage and don't have enough bandwidth to post pics from here - I'll upload some when I can.

There was an old Jaguar ad from the mid 70's that read "the kind of car that makes you wish your destination was just a little further down the road" - exactly how BadFast makes me feel and yes I took the twisty back roads from Ottawa to the lake 😊😎👌

By track brackets do you mean the relocation brackets for rear lower control arms? If so, if you get sticky tires and especially if you gain 100 more horsepower and plan on launching hard then you better consider having your axle tubes welded.

Nice stuff. What shocks/struts did you go with? How is the ride? Jarring over bumps?

I've got Whiteline Panhard and Sways (rear is an RTR but made by Whiteline) and just got springs. Hunting up shocks/struts to do all at once...

I bought the Whiteleine progressive rate springs that use my existing track pack spec struts and shocks. Budget was the reason but also I have less than 30K miles on mine - I'll go worth the Koni's when it's time.
As far as the ride I was careful this time - I went with non progressive eibach on my '12 and the handling was great but a rough road was awful. I've put a little over 300km on this set up now and it was firm but not harsh. I recommend them.

I feel like I'm looking at my car except in white. Now I kinda wish I got white. Lookin' good!

By the way, we both need wider tires (and maybe wheels) to really do it up.

Again, congrats.

All the best.

edit to add this PS... I have already added the Roush front splitter and I think I'll also put on the side skirts so we can tell these cars apart on a dim night.
