Help with aftermarket HIDs confusion

Hello.

So I bought my 2011 Mustang GT with what looks like an aftermarket splicing of HID bulbs, ballast etc for the headlights. The passenger side bulb is out and im quite frankly not a big fan of all the spliced wires hanging around. Thinking perhaps this would be a good time to upgrade the headlights anyways

Could I just buy something like the Axiom HID headlights and swap it out and get rid of all the ghetto wiring? The kit says factory HID and im not sure if thats different than whats going on in the pics

Or just go back to Halogens and gut all the HID stuff out easy peasy?

I cant tell if the harness in there currently is aftermarket or stock. As I'm debating on if i should just replace the bulb and be done with it for the time being if that's possible as it is.

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

I think this beigeconnector is where aftermarket meets stock if someone could verify. If so i could just disconnect from here.get regular Halogens and connect it to the beige connector and be done?

sorry for lack or response, I guess nobody knows . . . I am traveling for work right now, but will try to remember to take a look at my 2010 GT, which is all stock, to see if I can figure it out; when I get home on Saturday

I'd see if I could find a wiring diagram to you'd know what color the original harness should be.
