Staggered Wheels

Hi Everyone! Just joined and here's my first post. Is there any benefit to having staggered wheels other than just looks or is there a performance advantage? :kooky:

There is an advantage. Staggered wheels will basically give you more grip in the back and less drag in the front where its not needed. The wider the wheels will help decrease wheel spin on a launch or a shift on the 1320.

Of course staggered wheels with rear deep dish look bada$$!!!!

You mean like a track car? A little stagger but not as much as say 315/35 tires. Stagger will help your car leave corners quicker and reduce tire spin on turns and a loss of traction through a turn (burnout).

Thnx 2010SSguy!

If your going to track race your car you dont want staggered wheels because you will have understeer. Drag racing you want staggered wheels for more traction in rear and less drag in front as mentioned above.

There are a lot of race cars out there that have that setup. Porche, Ferrari, Corvettes, Indy Cars, Formula cars, Champ cars, Drag racers...

Check this site for some more reasons as well as pros & cons of going with that setup.

Exactly....More understeer will result requiring changes in other areas (sway bars, tire pressure, alignment) to compensate and keep the car Neutral..
