2011 Mustang-Does anyone have a rattle from the passenger's door?

I took a 600 mile road trip this weekend. While my wife was driving, and I was in the passenger's seat, I noticed a rather annoying rattle sound coming from inside the passenger's door panel. It's not very loud, but noticeable with the music turned off. Has anyone else had this problem and figured out what causes it? Thanks.

It's under warranty. There are guys at every dealership that are rattle nazis. I know a guy that is a specialist in tracking down wind noise, rattles, squeaks, leaks etc. Take it back and they will find it.

I have the same rattle. I'm almost certain it's coming from behind the door handle. There is a plastic insert behind the handle that might be loose. I jammed something in there and it took care of the noise. Have you ever taken the door panel apart to change a speaker? I did and I'm sure that is the cause. Good luck!

I know of several rattles in my car but between the music and boomtube exhaust drone I can't hear myself think!

Just noticed you have an 2011. Not sure if it's the same setup as my 2006.

I have the glovebox rattle too, but it's only on occasion. For awhile I was getting it every morning leaving for work, then say I'd go out for lunch and I wouldn't hear it at all. As if maybe the engine being cold in the morning somehow caused a glovebox rattle :nogrinner It was easy to duplicate too, just bounce the glovebox up and down. Haven't heard it lately at all though.

I had a rattle as well.. could really hear it with music with certain bass frequencies. Since I was upgrading the stock door speakers anyway, I took the time to track down the vibration... fortunately, it was very obvious. The HVAC pipe for the side window defroster had some poor plasti-weld, and the pipe was a little loose. I folded over some duct tape and wedged it between the door panel and the pipe to take out the free play, and used some more tape to keep that in place. No more vibes in the passenger door. Not the best fix, but a good place to check... getting the door apart was much easier than I expected... followed the video from the sound forum on here.

This is great info, thanks. I'll check it out when I get home this weekend. I'd rather fix something like this myself than spend an afternoon reading 3 year old copies of BASS magazine at the dealership.

Passenger door rattle is actually a 2005-2011 thing, and quite common.

... and quite annoying!

Trying to listen to my Miley in peace.
