Skipping 1st gear and 3rd gear - bad?

Hello,
First post here.

I have a 2011 5.0 MT.
I have that low RPM clunk when shifting between 1 - 2 - 3 (under 2000 miles)

I've lately been starting in 2nd gear from a dead stop and then going straight to 4th, then 5th and 6th.

Is this going to stress the clutch or other parts?
Typical, not Typical?

Thanks!

Lots of people go 1st->3ed->6th or 2ed->4th->6th. Ford even put in a "feature" called skip shift that tries to force you to go from 1st->4th. It all depends what your trying to do.

Personally I normally go through 1st->2ed->3ed->6th, but that's just me having fun.

Is it clunk from play in the drive-shaft? Mine does, this is normal so i don't see what taking to the dealer will do? Drive it and if it has vibration or breaks take it to the dealer.

Ford Racing K-springs & dampeners. UPR Street adjustable UCA. UMI LCA & bolt in relocation brackets. Comp Eng. panhard.

Knock on wood. I think I may be one of the lucky ones with no issues so far. No clunking, ticking from the engine, or clutch issues.

Not bragging, I just feel fortunate not to have had any issues so far.

I do 1 -3 -5 or even 2 - 5 in town all the time. This 6 speed has pretty low first and second gears so its no problem if you're not slipping the clutch too much, but you can do that in first too.

Sorry for the question - but can you describe what you mean by "slipping" the clutch?
