I want to buy racing seats for my mustang. Preferably recaro seats. I have been looking everywhere for brackets for the 2011 mustang but I cant find any except for brackets for corbeau. Does anyone know where I can find brackets? And are brackets for certain vehicles universal for all racing seats or are they brand specific?

Wow! That much? Is there anywhere you can buy brackets that dont cost as much as the seats themselves?

These are pre "Build-Apocalypse". The interior is in the process of getting a roll bar, 4 point belts and a LCD dash/Data acquisition system right now. I’ll probably be going with fixed back “Race Seats” too. Not 100% sure yet.

Seat brackets for Recaro seats (add zero’s
) that have sliders with NO “SLOP” and bolt right in with no modifications. Which are made in quantities that are so small that they are borderline custom? Cheaper? Unlikely. I had a hard enough time just finding some.I have the ability to fabricate just about anything and it was far easier to buy some then take the time to make some.
And with anything else, you get what you pay for. I have driven cars with less expensive seats, and I would guess brackets, and the seats had “play” in them. It wasn’t much, maybe only a few thou. But it was enough for them to feel cheap and drive me crazy. Seat brackets are not simply in any way.
