New shifter bracket- barton

As a lot of you guys already know I was lucky enough to visit Barton Industries a while back and get a shifter installed on my car.
I was checking their website for new products and found that they had a shifter bracket that was coming out, so I gave Dave call, and he told me to bring my car down. The roads have been $hity but I figured Id get the car out anyway, cant pass up another free install.

Barton Industries - MUSTANG PRODUCTS - Cincinnatus, NY

I thought the Barton shifter was awesome, but HOLLY FREAKIN CRAP this bracket has taken it to a whole new level. The engagement is hard to explain, it feels like there is NO resistance on the shifts at all, the shifter just clicks into gear with no mush or softness, just a solid click, on the up shifts and down shifts. This bracket is a MUST have. GREAT JOB BARTON!!! Oh if you already have their shifter its only 50 bucks.

NICE! I heard someone say that the BOSS Mustangs have something different with their shifters, I am not sure if it was just the bushings or what, but supposively the BOSS doesn't have the shifter-engine-torqueing problem.

Jim2011 Thanks for the update. I just got off the phone with Dave Sr. and he said he will include the new bracket with my backorder shifter. We spoke for a few minutes and he stated this is the fix for a great solid shift with no mushyness and no missed shifts. Thanks again.

Ok I'm a little confused
Does this new bracket come with their shifters now for $299? Or is it an add on?

I understand you can buy it independently and you don't need to use their shifter.

I believe it is an add on piece. An extra $50 if you buy or have already bought the shifter. And $79 of it is bought all by itself.

I just ordered the bracket from Dave at Barton. Since I just received the Barton shifter, it was only $50.00 for the bracket. This company is so great to deal with, immediate replies to emails, etc. I can hardly wait to try out the shifter/bracket combo in the Spring.

Here is the install video. I didn't have to do it because Dave did it for free but I still think its pretty cool they shoot a video for each product they have.

I'd love to see what they did, if much. The basic problem needs a solid bracket to offset the semi-remoter shifter mounting. Maybe they are putting Tremec Magnum XL's in new ones?

Very easy - much easier than the MkI version.

According to Dave, the downshifts are much smoother, and the upshifts smoother - a bit less notchy, just as precise as B4.
