Nice job! Great comparison between these two. The GT500 is perfect for me.


2014 GT 5.0 Premium (Ordered 2/1/2013, received 3/20/2013) 6A - 401A premium trim - Steeda CAI - (Mike Rousch) SCT Dynojet custom tune - Lethal offroad H-pipe - J&M LCA's - BMR relocation brackets - Circle D 5C converter - DSS aluminum drive shaft - front sway bar delete kit - stock mufflers - and a stock 3:15 gear. Best pass so far - 60 ft. 1.577, 1/4 mile e.t. 11.567, mph 117.22.

(Traded in on new 2014)

What size X pipe is it 2.5 or 3inch. thanks

The Stainless Works X-Pipe is 3 inches. Stainless Works

You really gotta hear them both in person. No offense but the videos don't do them justice. I have the ATAK, but a buddy of mine has the gt500. I may be wrong but I believe the gt500 is made for ford by Borla. The atak is a bit more raspy, and actually sounds louder. The gt500 sounds a little deeper. Both are nice, but the atak really has a distinct sound that's noticeable. My neighbors always hear me coming home that's for sure.

Seems to me the off-road x-pipe makes the exhaust higher pitched on the GT500 for sure....which I do not like as much as the lower pitch.
