2011 center console removal ?

Need to know exactly how to remove the center console on my car.
Ordered a Barton shifter that should be in next weekend and just want to make shure that I know how to remove the console in advance.
I have watched the video on Barton's site and there seems to be something missing. Looks like he's just touching the edge and it pops up by magic. Just need to know how to get it started.
Does something in the rear ofr the console have to come out to gain access?
I'm confused.

The April issue of Muscle Mustang & Fast Fords has a well detailed article and pics on this shifter for the 2011.

It's just as easy as it looks. Open the center console an pull up. Don't lift it too high as you have to disconnect the cables underneath that go to the ambient lighting in the cupholder and the traction control / hazards / trunk release button. JLT posted his own video for replacing the center console: YouTube - Tucker1154's Channel
