Shelby kicker sound system

Hey all! I'm looking to get the kicker 6x8 speakers for the front and rear of my 2011 mustang gt an the kicker 8inch door woofers....I already have the shaker 500 system but I'm wondering if anyone has done this upgrade and if you need a separate amp to power the kicker stuff or will it be fine to run it with the factory amp and head unit. Thx for any help!!

I'm pretty sure the door upgrades use the factory amps in the kick panels. It's the trunk mounted sub upgrade that uses a new amp. (comes with).

2011 GT Premium, Performance White/Saddle w/Bremos, 3.73s, & comfort pkg.

Airaid, Magnaflow Comp cat-back, JLT separator, Barton shifter/bracket, GT500 splash guards, CDC chin spoiler, SS 'Eleanor' grill, Roush splitters

Two wheeled ride-
2008 Triumph Tiger 1050 Jet Black <---street duty
Hence Threebanger!

I really want to hear from someone that has this system! I wanna know if it's a worth while upgrade without adding another amp, and how it sounds with just the speakers and door woofers with the factory amp and head unit...or even how is sounds with the kicker trunk sub and amp as well.....thx for our thoughts though...:-)

I added four Kicker 6x8's and the clarity and sound quality are night and day with mid range and treble. Well worth the upgrade, At some point i want to add the 8" subs in the front doors because the stockers are so muddy on the bass. No additional amp needed for the four 6x8's and they are a direct replacement. you will laugh when you see the stock speakers compared to the Kickers, the difference is incredible.

Kona Blue GT Premium, 3.73's, Brembo's, HID, Security, Black Leather int. Jon Lund 93 octane Tune, Stainless Works X pipe, GT 500 exhaust, K&N airfilter, Roush Cue Ball shift knob, Roush lower control arms, Nitto NT05's 275/35ZR19's on rear, Nitto NT555 275/35ZR19's up front. Kicker 6X8 speakers, Escort Solo Radar Detector

Did you add the kicker 6x8s from the Shelby/kicker package?? Or some other kicker 6x8s?? And do they come with adapters so you just unplug the factory ones and plug in the new ones?? How's the fitment in the front? And how's the install for the rear speakers?? Thx!

There is an amp upgrade that goes with the speakers that fits in the dash. Without it you won't realise the true potential of the system. The rear speakers are a pain because they stopped mounting them from the bottom for some stupid reason. There is a part of the wiring you won' use for the new speakers but no cutting or splicing is needed, just follow the instructions.

JLT series 3 c.a.i., detroit rocker cams, various tunes, roush front fascia w/chin spoiler.

So I'm assuming you have the system?? How do you like it?? And did you get a local stereo shop to do the install??

Well my questions are about the install, fitment issues and the sound quality and since yours is not in yet questions would be kinda pointless...thx though!!
