Magnaflow Muffler delete really quieted down

Anyone else have theirs get noticeably quieter than when first installed? Mine sounded like hellfire for the first 7-7500 miles.

That's what I was thinking. Most exhaust systems get louder with age.

Yea I'm with them. You're just used to it so it doesn't seem as loud as before.

Especially Magnaflows. Flowmaster, not as much since they are a chambered exhaust with no filler.

Thought my idle was a bit too quiet after a bit, fixed with my SCT Tuner, turned the idle up to 850, sounds great now

btw, i'm at 16.5k now, had them on for 13k, havent noticed any change in exhaust tone while driving.

Weird you guy say that it gets louder as they age, service manager and mechanics at the dealer said it quiets down when the exhaust system breaks in.

That's interesting. I've always been under the assumption that almost all exhausts will get louder with time. It's possible they have engineered those exhausts to have some break-in time. I'd be curious to know. hmm

I'm starting to suspect that it has something to do with the stock sections of the exhaust, specifically the stock resonators

They get quieter at first as soot builds up.
They get louder when the packing goes or you get rust holes.

My exhaust got quieter after about 300 miles.
