Can you just unhook the fog light?

I don't dislike the standard GT fog lights, it's that I like the clean look of the cali special. If I were to buy a new front grill, say like from Saleen, could I leave the fog lights unpluged without throwing any CEL?

I can verify. I did this by accident when I took the front of my car off to install the Raxiom headlights. Wasn't pleased when I realized I had forgotten to plug them back in. Car didn't care. Just me.

I plan to replace my stock GT grille with one that does not have fog lights.

I see that Roush sells a harness for this application. There's not much to it, but I think protecting the electrical connectors from the elements is worth $15.

So with these covers on the fog lights there is zero light output?

Where can I purchase these from?

No, they're smoked covers.
