oil color on dipstick

It seems like the oil color on my dipstick is turning increasingly ugly, meaning it's a brown/dark burnt color, while it was more yellowish in the earlier days. 3 months old car, 2.5k miles.

Should this be cause of concern?

Nope. Completely normal. When you write out the formula for internal combustion there are carbon molecules left over. Since carbon is naturally black on a molecular level this is why motor oil turns dark over time when pumped through an engine.

oil is suppose to change color as it ages with the car.
