(blower) that had a best of 12.31 @110 and the rest were in 12.4-12.5 at 110 & 111.

TC limits wheel spin and SC limits lateral movement (the violent R/L turn that leaves you looking straight the retaining wall). Remember when you are at the track, only alter one thing at a time. If you change tire pressure, launch RPM and the way you dump the clutch, you will never know which one of the variables is helping or hurting you. Practice makes perfect, and its fun! Do your research before going to the track and take notes on each pass to include: DA, tire pressure, and launch rpm at a minimum if you want to max you times. When fine tuning launch RPM remember these simple rules: Bog right after launch means you need to launch at a higher RPM. Keep upping your launch RPM by 300-500 until bog goes away. There will be a fine line between no bog and wheel spin. To keep in line with the original purpose of the thread, 13.1 at 108 w/ 2.1 60' bone stock and 12.72 at 112 w/ 1.83 60' on MT DR's.

Hah, thanks I was right after some sort of... drag racing car (bloody loud, and huge tires) that laid plenty of rubber down for me on that pass. I don't know anything about it, really, the only drag racing I ever do is into Turn 1, on Lap 1.

I have had my '11 GT to the strip twice.
My best bone stock time is 13.07 at 109.8 mph.
My best 60 foot on the stock tires has been a 1.81. And only one time. Most of my 60 foot times are 1.9-2.0.
I shift at 6800rpm just before the soft rev limit hits or as close as I can to it.
Turn t/c control off like most have recommended.
I run my stock pirellis at 22lbs of air in the rear and the fronts I bump up to 40 psi for less rolling resistance.
My only mods I have now are a Steeda adj. UCA (wheel-hop gone) and a DSS 1 piece d.s.
She is a 12.40-12.60 car now for sure. And my last trip to the strip I know I left .2-.3 tenths on the table. So to speak.
Keep practicing getting out of the hole as quick and clean as possible.
Have Fun, AW.

Very interesting thread... I just went to the strip this weekend and can't get below 12.7, running about 115MPH... Of course it's 90 degrees with high humidity, I am curious how much of a difference that makes.

I will be going this weekend again... try a different tune, deflate the tires and get some practice.
