adding lights to the front valance

i have the 2012 GT/CS and i want to add 2 lights to the front of my car. i want to put them in the gap of the CS style valance, i already have the fog lights and i want to leave them in as well. i was wondering if anyone would have any insight on a easy way of doing this. i also want to hook them up so they run with the fog lights.

FYI, running with two sets of fogs on are illegal in Canada when your headlights are on.

If you're intent on doing it anyways, you can wire from the battery or the fusebox to power the actual lights switched through a relay triggered from the hot lead to your existing foglight.

For a basic relay/fuse tap/etc. Canadian Tire will have what you need. Also, realize that they will be on all the time if you have HIDs because if you have HIDs the fogs are also your DRLs.

Personally, I did mine legally, my setup uses a pulse-actuated flip-flop relay to toggle between the two sets (the stock grille lights and the California Special valance). I pull out the headlight switch to put on the fogs, one set turns on. Push in the switch, they shut off. Pull it out again, the other set comes on.

I will try to put a basic how-to together when I have the time; I'll have to scan the schematic I drew up and get together a part list. Be forewarned, though, that some electrical experience is needed. Basic soldering, and knowledge on how to use a multimeter is required; I'll put it out there but I can't commit to getting too involved with trying to troubleshoot problems over the internet for miswired lighting.

Also be forewarned that you will likely have to pull the bumper skin to install the wiring and the valance as per the valance installation instructions (rather than the "small hands" cheater installation. lol). This will be to route the wires properly through a few tight places that you'll have a hard time getting to with the grille one.

When I did the install, I didn't cut any factory harnesses; I bought 2 pigtails and scavanged the other 4 from the pigtails that came with the California Special valance. If you do the same you'll be able to unhook your wiring and reconnect the stock grille lights while you sort out any problems you have.
