5.0 Auto 80-150mph vid

I've never seen any vids of a 5.0 auto going this quick so here's mine:yelpleased:
Didn't hit any speed limiters at 150mph and thought I would without a tune.
Looks/sounded like it shifted into 5th around 145 and was still going strong.

Btw I don't do this crap with other cars/traffic around, it was just me and a straight-away. There was a high concrete wall to my left blocking the other side of the highway where there were other cars.

Sorry about the queer music.
I'd advise blowing up the vid so you can see it better.

Second that. If you're from Towson MD, there's an SVT Cobra Club track event next weekend at VIR. VIR has some seriously long straights and for around $400 (a fraction of the cost of a Reckless Driving bust) you can drive the track all weekend.

Been there and done that in the daytime but I was in Mexico. The Limiter will slow you down when you hit 155.

Next time maybe if you have some Metallica playing you will make it all the way to 160. Also just another word to the wise, those deer are out in force this time of year, and there is no way to see them at night until it is too late.

2012 GT CS Ingot Silver Vert, Edelbrock E-force supercharger with CAI and 3.5 Pulley, Tremec T-56 Mag, Accufab 84.5, Centerforce DF, Billet Yoke aluminum driveshaft, FRPP 3.73 Rear, MRT Performance H-pipe, Bassani axle backs, JL Audio sound, Edelbrock strut tower brace, JPC adjustable UCA, UMI adjustable panhard bar, KW V3 coilovers, Steeda heavy duty front mounts, Steeda rear LCA's, 20" Steeda Spyders with Michelin Pilot Super Sports, Steeda Big Brake Kit ....... it just keeps going.

I agree about the deer and the music lol. There also could have been a cop sitting there with his lights off... I know the potential risks (which were to me and my car) I decided to chance a little burst to 150. The road was straight and clear. :shiny:
I agree racing and high speed runs should generally be done at the track.
But everyone gets a little wild hair up their a$$ on occasion, especially with a car like this.

Looks like the dash only has two center gauges? Base GT I take it? I would like to know if anybody has tried looking for the black faced gauges with backlit numbers that will fit the GT premiums vs the backlighted white faced gauges and blacked out numbers found on the GT premiums? The thing I dislike most about my car is the blacked out numbers with the white/lighted gauge face. I very much prefer it the other way around.

Yup base gauges. This seems to be a common complaint among the premium owners. I personally prefer Boss and GT500 gauges.

I do too but from what I have seen the Boss gauges only have two center gauges and the GT500 gauges have a boost gauge on them.

ahh, nothing like a sprint to 150mph.

With traffic around that's nuts. The only thing worse was the song. C'mon, next time get amped up with some Miley Cyrus or some Jonas Bros...maybe some Beiber?

Ron Burgundy: Brian, I'm going to be honest with you, that smells like pure gasoline.
Brian Fantana: They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time it works, every time.
