I know Steeda makes an aluminum water pump pulley and idler/tensioner pulleys but is anyone going to come out with a lightweight crank pulley? Just looking for ways to free up some rotating mass besides the obvious driveshaft. Thanks!
I'm not sure of this, but I've been encouraged by a shop to stay away from pullies because the lightweight ones tend to vibrate and can cause other problems.
Kenne Bell had a serious problem with lower crank pullies for their supercharger causing the oil pump to fail. If you are serious about replacing the crank pulley, talk to one of the major Mustang parts suppliers and ask them what they have run on their own cars and what to stay away from.
