Couldn't agree more that people seem unable to read plain English and make decisions based on their need. MC 5w50 is a borderline 50w, and quickly shears down to the 40 range. Dealers do not routinely test oils even when an engine grenades, as the metal particles can make some tests problematic.

BTW, has anyone mentioned that the MC 5w50 is made in Korea? Surprised the haters haven't picked up on that since they endlessly beat the drum about the MT-82 being a Chinese assembled product.

its been a while since ive worked in a dealership but i do recall different recomendations on fluids and service intervals being listed for "severe duty" or "extreme duty" etc
if you guys are really that concerned with what oil viscosity to use all you need to do is ask a ford tech.

2011 gt kona blue mt82 brembo. Mods: hellion twin turbo eliminator tuned by blow by racing, id1000 injectors, kb boost a pump,eboost 2, dual interceptor gauges, barton shifter and 2 post bracket, chrome gt4 18x9 front 18x10 rear on nitto nt555, eibach lowering kit, magnaflow competition 3" exhaust into lethal performance 3" offroad x pipe, braided lines hawk hp plus pads. To do list: ALOT
