We adjust the fly by wire for a much more powerful throttle response.

We don't set your RPM REV Limiter beyond 7500 in the tune and 7350 for shifting.

Yes, any time the ECU is flashed there is a P1000 code, there is nothing that can be done about this at all. It's just the way their ECUs work, the ECU needs some time to collect data after it has been flashed. You need to do some driving after the flash to get rid of it, but once it's gone no worries.

Ok, that's what I thought. As you can see there is lots of question regarding how Diablo has been able to do something that other tuners have not. Without divulging trade secrets can you elaborate a bit more on how this tuner does not leave a finger print. Talk to me like Iím an idiot because when it comes to tuning I am

This.

If Dan the Diablo Rep can expand on how it isn't detected by dealers like the SCT, I'm going to BUY one shortly.

Me too, though he did say that once you go back to stock tune you need to drive the car for at least 30 miles. That is the only way to remove the P1000 code which is recorded whenever the PCM is flashed.

Well, since we've got a Diablo rep looking at this thread, I'll ask here too.

I see mention of "cycle counts" and key turns as a way to see if the ECU has been reflashed and set back to stock. Basically, the ECU counts the number of times the car has been started. This supposedly does not clear when disconnecting the battery, but DOES clear if the ECU is flashed.

Any additional information about this would be great Diablo guy. If you can prove it cannot be tracked, I'll buy one.

To lay it out as simply as I can here's the deal:

The inTune/Trinity do NOT reset Key Counts after a flash

The inTune/Trinity do NOT leave any traces behind that an aftermarket tune was installed

The inTune/Trinity do NOT work the same as "removing the battery" we have trade secrets that allow us to do what we do.

I have been working at DiabloSport for a long time, in all the time that I have supported 11+ Mustangs on the Trinity (2 years) and now the 13s, I have NEVER had an issue with a customer reporting the dealership voided warranty over using our products.

Don't you all think, that if this was the case and we DID void warranties, our forums and others would be riddled with complaints of people saying this had happened? There would be a huge outcry, there would be people screaming and yelling all day long. But there's not, because it does not happen.

You guys will have to trust me, we've figured this out, and while I can't tell you specifically how we do it, we do not leave any traces of footprints in the ECU when you restore the original backup. We've been tuning cars for over 10 years, and if we were leaving traces and voiding warranties every time I doubt we'd have a tuner on the market still

I can't speak for what other brands do, but it sounds like they have spooked you all. We don't have these same issues.

Didn't take it that way, just wanted to be totally up front about it and explain it. It seems a lot of people are nervous about it, I wanted to put that to rest so people know we are different.

Dan, my Boss has a factory rev limiter at 7500. You said yours is set at 7500 and 7350 for shifting. I thought i read on one of the many threads covering this same thing that Diablo allows something like 600 rpms of room with the rev limiter. Is that not the case? Also, is the "shifting" for automatics?

I am really considering doing this but need to know a little about it first. That's why I've asked the same question 3 times now..

You can manually change the RPMs with the InTune after u have flashed the first time. You can also adjust before the flash and it builds the tune. You can do 50rpm incriments and set it to whatever you want. You can adjust just about everything that you would ever need to. You can even manually adjust the timing by degrees and the fuel mixtures. Tire rotations, speed limiter off/on, axle ratios, and more.

Knock sensor PIDs are not active on the InTune yet. They said they are working on getting it into their log viewer. Also the AFR PID is not active. They track those items on their other vehicles, so odds are that it will be implimented soon.

I did send them a log and they said they would be able to tell if there was knock on them. They must be able to see it with their software.
