I agree with holding to a 50% gain in hp, which is around the 650hp mark, if you plan to drive it aggressively on the regular.

John has a point after the whole ecoboost comparison. I went and drove the wifes eco boost Explorer and until now I really never noticed the lag til now. When cruising around 40 and you punch it the thing seems to take for ever before it starts to pull. That to me makes a car making 500-700hp unpredictable to me (my opinion of coarse). I like how the coyote responds to pedal to floor input now. If I go with a paxton I dont think that I will like the lag before it starts to pull hard. Wish there was a screw coyote around me to take a ride in. Will a 2010 gt500 have about the same character and attitude as a screwed coyote?

Lol, the car won't lag with a Paxton. The motor still makes 400hp NA man and it's not a 110MM single turbo setup, it's a belt driven blower.

I will definitely go with paxton in March. Pricing is on point and I also know a few guys with them so I know what is capable of. As far as lag there's very little as the guy above mentioned. Root blower is awesome especially that whine lol, but if the money wasn't so tight I probably would be looking at whipple. However, for a daily driver and keeping the cost and boost at minimum I think paxton will be just right. Whatever you decide, the coyote and boost will not let you down op

just out of interest, what is the overall kit weight of most centrifugal and screw type blowers? to me, adding another **** load of weight up high on the nose of an already nose heavy car, isn't what i want. the thought of a low slung turbo is much more appealing, if it can be fit low. idk if sts has their kit for our cars out yet?
