2013 Auto shifter handle into a 2012?

Has anyone done this? It will fit of course. The difference is the 12 has a hill assist button on the side and the 13 has select shift button. Makes me wonder if the button would just turn the hill assist on/off or if it would actually step down the tranny. Doubt it, but you never know until someone has done it.
Soooo, anyone tried it yet?

If the seven pin plug on the 13 shifter will operate the same in the 12s, you could add selct shift to the 12 instead of just having hill assist...

After driving a '13 with the Selectshift and seeing how slow it is to react to pushes of the button I will just keep what I have.

Ive driven one with the "select shift" its just pointless to me. Id rather just leave it in drive if I had one of those autos. It doesnt really give any more fun to driving and like 5pointo said its really slow reacting to shifting.

Good point. I've driven a 13 with it also and would agree that the tune Ford uses in the mustang is definetly set to "gas saver". But my 2012 F-150 with the 5.0 has it and it's very quick and resposive. I especially like being able to lock out the upper gears and just use 1,2 or 1, 2, 3, 4 without getting into the fuel saver gears.
I'm running a Steeda tune in my 12 Auto and have faith that it would make a world of difference with select shift.

The Selectshift buttons themselves are slow. As far as I know there is no way to speed that up, hence why I think it is a waste...

Even if all the electrical connections are there, the select shift is in the tune itself. That is why it took time for the tuners to come out with tunes for the 2013 automatic. They had to figure out the new transmission tune first.

My buddy has a 2013 auto with tune, and when you use the buttons to change gears there is an annoying delay (same as before tune) that IMO makes them useless. Drive one and you will see what I mean. The rest of the shifter is no different then pre-13 minus the design.
