Borla ATAK fittment issue

Hey everyone, I just had my Borla ATAK catback with x-pipe installed and the passenger side mid pipe is hitting the frame right where the pipe goes over the axel. Has anyone experienced this. I've taken my car back to where I got it installed and they did everything they could to try and get some clearence and it is still hitting. It's just very annoying and frustrating knowing that I've spent $1440 on an exhaust and it doesn't fit properly.

Actually, I believe that it is an installation issue. You just have to loosen the bolts on the mid pipe to over axle pipe clamps and play around with the position of the pipes, trial and error.

This is IIRC, of course.

They actually did loosen the bolts on the pipe to the axle pipe. I was watching them do it. The pushed and pulled and adjust and hung on and everything. The driver side had a good amount of clearence but the passenger side doesn't have much clearance at all. Like when you bang on it the exhaust hits the frame.

Based on how the driverside is aligned/positioned/bolted...They should be able to use that as a reference and "mirror" the passenger side to match the "good amount of clearance" as the driver's side. Is the passenger side just different from the driver's side? Maybe take it to another shop?

What year is your car? Also, can you post a picture? I did the same install myself on a 2012 GT, Borla ATAK cat-back. Help me, help you.

I have the S-Type Catback and it went on smooth. And that was me and my dad installing on just jack stands in the garage. Could be a fitment issue with the over axle pipes or even the muffler needs to be adjusted. Either those things or this installer doesn't know what they're doing. Contact borla with some pictures of the issue and they'll fix you right up. I had a knocking issue with my driver side muffler and sent them a video of the noise and proof of purchase and they sent me a new one no questions asked.
