2012 GT Brake Cooling Routing

I just ordered the Ford Racing brake cooling kit for my '12 GT and have been reading installation info online. There seem to be minor routing issues requiring inner fender liner mods and washer reservoir relocation for most folks. Since the brake cooling is standard on the Laguna Seca Boss, I'd love to see how Ford did it at the factory. Anyone have some detailed pics they could post of the LS brake cooling hose routing?

Thanks in advance for the help!

I didn't have any problems doing mine, I just went from the holes in the fascia, snaked it through the front of the car, zip tied to the swaybar, and came into the wheel well. I did remove a plastic trim piece on the driver side however. I can now see the oil filter from inside the wheel well, if that gives you an idea. I wish I had some pictures...if you still need some help later send me a PM and I'll see what I can rustle up.

Thanks Csamsh. I plan to get it installed before my next track day in June. Has it helped your brake performance at the track? Also have you seen better brake wear since you added the cooling? Vorshlag claims much better pad life with the cooling added.

Also - your track pic looks great. If you get out to Road Atlanta sometime let me know. I'm only 15 minutes away from there and have probably 500+ laps at RA.

I never tracked the car w/o ducting so I can't comment on improvement, but a set of Carbotech XP16's lasted me 5 days, maybe 12 or 13 hours on track, and three of those days were at Eagle's Canyon in Dallas, which is a brake KILLER. I consider this to be decent life...I'm going to try the XP20's next, see how they do.

Thanks! I probably won't make it to Georgia anytime soon but I'll hit you up if I do.

I ran XP 20s at Barber MSP 2 weeks ago and they were a nice step up from the XP12s I've run in the past. I could definitely feel the difference, even though top speed was maybe 115 mph. I'll get a better check on the XP20s when I go back to Road Atlanta in June. At RA I hit 145 in the back straight then brake hard down to about 50 mph going into turn 10A. And just in case....there's a nice big patch of kitty litter beyond 10A if I don't make it.
