Weight differences for the 5.0

So there are many different models of the 11-14 gt ( base, premium, upgraded wheels and brembo package, leather seats, navigation, convertible, etc). I was wondering how much of a weight difference there is between let's say a base GT and a fully loaded GT. I have a base GT with a flowmaster outlaw axle back exhaust, which reduces about about 30 pounds or so, so it's safe to say I have the lightest 5.0 possible aside form taking out seats and what not. Would this affect the performance of the car a good bit in the 0-60 and quarter mile times over a car that was more loaded up with options? Just wondering

Yes, lots of weight differences based on brake, wheel/tire, seat, and stereo options. I think the base manual GT was around 3550, and a convertible automatic premium GT was nearing 3800.

2002 C5 Z51. MCS 2WNR TT2 coilovers, 18x11 Forgestars, 315's, yada yada. Built Z06 T56. Bolt ons. Coming soon to a CAM event near you.

2013 F150 6.2L. 9mpg.

Hmm so I'm wondering since most reviews tested premium models, how much of a difference there is in acceleration between the base and premium model in 0-60 and 1/4 mile times.

Old drag racers rule of thumb, every 100 pounds you take off the car lowers quarter mile time by a tenth of a second. Other variables to consider, driver weight compared to the test driver in the tests you read about, anything else you might have in the car, and the biggest variable, driver ability. I have seen the same car driven by two different drivers, same day, same conditions, and the quarter mile time vary by over a second in the quarter mile.

BMR Upper control arm mount and lower control arm brackets.

I weighed my 14 gt/cs auto and it was 3680 with 3/4 tank and trunk emptied. Seemed 80-100 pounds heavier than I would have liked. All options less roof, pro stereo, and navigation. Fyi

I have a base '14 GT with a Boss strut tower brace & 6-speed manual. With 1/2 a tank of gas and no driver it weighs 3580. 1940 lbs. of this is on the front giving it a 54%/46% weight distribution.

Do you weigh 20 pounds??? Get your scales calibrated.

So it seems between the base model and the premium there is about what, 100 pound difference? Wouldn't 100 pounds impact the quarter mile time by about a quarter second or so?

No. MAYBE a tenth, depending on who is driving

You also have to remember that some models do not get a spare tire and jack either thus saving some weight. Easily remedied at the track though.

Do these models come with runflats or something? I would love to take out my spare and jack but not looking to be stranded on the side of the road either lol.

It's only the manual track packs with brembo's. You get a lovely air pump in replace of spare. LOL

Yeah and that pump and other accessories keeps flying around in my trunk right now because I set myself up with a spare tire that fits over brembos and screw jack for my track package. I need to wrap it in a bungee cord and secure it in the trunk or take it out all together. I don't care about the extra weight on the street because I don't want to get stranded. I have not documented the weight of my car yet.

I have a base GT with Brembos and backup sensors and I have the air pump kit not a spare. It's not the track pack that gets you the pump. It's the Brembos.
