Need BBK or just New Rotors/Pads for Occasional Spirited Driving/Track Day?
Earlier today, I hopped back into the mustang world with the purchase of a used 2014 GT Premium (pics at link). First 1,000 miles are on her just from driving her home (from MA to OH). I previously had a 2012 GT Premium just like it, but had to sell it as my wife got into her PHD program and we had some bills...

Anywho, I customized the 12' with the Brembo brake package which came in handy for the occasional very spirited drive (Tail of the Dragon and a few track days - 20 min sessions max). Never had an issue.
The new 14' does not have Brembos (but does have the rims) As a technical novice, I am concerned that the new car could not handle it and experience fade quickly.
During my research, I saw two camps of thought:
1. Buy a BBK
2. Just upgrade rotors and pads, use DOT4 brake fluid, and enjoy.
While I certainly could go for the Brembo's, I have a fancy for some other wheels that cannot fit the calipers (and need to be able to equip wheels with winter tires, as its my true daily driver).
Bottom line is that I don't want to experience an issue while having some fun. So, which is really needed based on my intended usage? Or, is there a middle-ground?
Also, would caliper covers effect cooling at all?
Thank you all and its a real pleasure to have a Mustang again.
