If you have a V8 they say to stop below the hole, forget how much 1/2"? I've read reports of oil blowing out the breather of the V8 if filled all the way to the bottom of the drain hole. For the V6 they say to fill it until it begins to drip out.
1/8" not 1/2". It's in your owner's manual. You can put a 90 deg bend in a paperclip and use that for a "dipstick". If you are adding the xl-18 too, I would put that in after the first quart or two. The transmission holds 2.7 quarts.
so i added the fluid with a hand held lube pump. i managed to get as much of the 3 L as i could in there . none came out the fill hole . witch seems to be a good thing according to posts above. but you cant get it all out the pump . so if it is over filled is there a breather that will blow out the extra? thanks for the info guys and gals!!!
