on a 2011 mustang gt mt-82 6 speed trans is there a blow off breather valve that will allow the fluid to to blow out if over filled ?? or will it blow out the case??
There's a breather cap on top of the transmission. I've never seen a gear box or differential without one, or you're right, they would blow seals from just getting warm/hot in use. No need to over fill them.
well i filled mine and it was slowly coming out the fill hole. so i loosened the drain plug till it was just dripping out the drain plug. so i let it drip for a little bit . should be good to go no?
If you put the correct amount specified for you vehicle, and your car is level, then you likely are OK. But what I have read here on this forum in the past week or so is to have the fluid 1/8" below the bottom of the hole. Now that I look back it was actually your first thread on the topic where I saw this recommendation.
