Stock air box/intake?

Looking at the stock air box/intake on my 2013 GT I noticed on the underside of the intake tube that goes from the air box to the intake there is like this strange lower box or boxes on the bottom of the tube molded right into the plastic Why? Anyone know what they are for?

These are resonance frequency chambers to ensure the engine sounds the way the engineers want. Many cars have them.
