Modifications Information

As we approach race season there are always questions as to what modifications are the best - My goal was to break 12 sec in the 1/4 with a NA Car - That was done last year with a best time of:
11.88 121MPH _ 60 Ft 1.68 DA at the time was 955
The following mods were done over 3 years to achieve this goal - These are not in the order done and This is just FYI -- if helps someone make some decisions great:
Boss 302 Intake - Accufab 90mm Throttle body - AMR Long Tubes with high flow catted X Pipe - Roush Exhaust - Airaid CAI - Koni Adjustable Shocks - One Piece Aluminum Drive Shaft -Steeda LCR - 3.73 Gears with Barton Short Shifter - Shift Light - Custom Dyno Tune
Tires for Track Hoosier Bias Ply Quick time pros 28/10.5-15 mounted on Dark Star Wheels

Good job, I especially like the mph here, given the relatively low level of engine interventions here. Headers are a ***** to put in this car but, it's only headers, not FI or some N20 setup.

I did 11.91 on a fully loaded MT82 BBP car with only a sticky tire and tune. Your mph indicates maybe still some room to move in ET.

2014 Premium GT, SGM, Brembo, Auto, Tech, Comfort, etc. GT500s, Steeda UCA, VMP auto tune, 100 shot on BBR tune, best et: 11.38 at 120.85

2012 GT, Candy Red, Brembo, 3.73, Tech, Comfort, etc. Procal tune, Roush upper, UMI LCAs, Steeda red bracket, GT500s, 28X10X16 Hoosier slicks, best et: 11.91 at 115.23 RIP

Little better 60 ft time would help me - car is a beast at the back end - Next up this year is a tremac transmission and stage 2 clutch the stock ones are on their last legs -- then supercharge in 17 - not ready for the roll cage!!!

I got such good results on the '12 by focussing on sticking down what I had, indeed. 1.5 60s on the stock BBP springs, shocks and bars seemed ok to me. Roush upper and UMI poly lowers may have aided a little but, running a full 10" wide slick was the biggest improvement.

It's a little less ideal on my 2014 auto car I have now bc it's a 28" slick I used with the 3.73s on the last car to cross the line under the limiter in 4th. However, I have them so, we'll give it a shot anyway.

I expect to be better this year with the new transmission - little higher gears so launch will be easier - 1.5 60 is nice - I have had a 1.40 once but thought I broke something I hit the bottom so hard - never will know what the et would have been backed off - By the way Auto kick my butt all the time bracket racing but what the hell!!

I hear ya, I was doing full clutch dump launches from 4500-6000 rpm on the 2012. Every once in a while it'd feel like I assploded the thing if it didn't dead hook, which it pretty much always did.
