Sound Tube

I think of it as a audible trouble indicator. If the engine begins to sound differently it would be nice to hear it sooner rather than later.

(Sorry. I meant this as a reply to "Goofy "Sound Tube" Removal??" and hit a wrong button and posted it as a new thread.)

Well, considering the sound tube is mounted ahead of anything that might create trouble it's unlikely you'll get the message that way first. I see it as a good way to convince track officials your car is stock and not packed with a nitrous plate kit under the engine cover.
