No big deal. Yes they do have the oil cooler and the differential vent is located on the top of the differential either in the cover or the casing instead of on top of the axle tube.

Ok, so I'm going to do the change now. I don't have any ticking AFAIK and I don't know what is in the car or if it's been changed since before I bought it. I think I'll take my chances with the 5w20 as it still gets a bit cold here but I just want some clarification; was there any truth to the rumor that the track pack cars have different ecm programming that necessitated the use of 5w50?

I have read everything I can find and I have found nothing that points any difference in the engine between a track pack and a GT. Just my results but I would love to know if anyone has any information that says different.

2013 gt premium m6 3.73 with lots of aftermarket bits

I've compared a number of GTs with and without Track Pack with HP Tuners and there is no difference in the files. Granted, they aren't all inclusive of every file within the ECM so there could be something. But it's nothing that's going to matter.
