Hyper Flashing '13

Hi! First post!

My '13 V6 has a small opening in the inside frame of the outermost part in the LH tail light (shown).

A few weeks after first seeing this, and some dust and water later, the left turn signal started hyper flashing (no sequential signal, and fast blinking).

The left LED outer frame has a slightly weakly lighting area.

I understand that the hyper flashing is a resistance problem, but can I just stop it, or further see what exactly the problem is and solve it? Should I inspect the BCM-B? How? Should I look for an OBD-II error?

Your input is much appreciated!

I would say if you replace it it will stop, if it is weak it is seeing it it as missing giving you the hyper flash. The sequential being out means the electronics got wet and quit working.

agreed, but I would try and open up the assy if possible and spray it well with contact cleaner. Maybe it will displace the moisture. If it works seal up the light with clear silicone.

2012 V6 traded in for a 2017 VW GTI.
